How to Go to Bali’s Ubud Palace
Bali’s Ubud Palace offers amazing sculptures and courtyards within its collection of old structures.
Known by another name, Puri Saren Agung, this is a significant historical site for the Balinese and is easily accessible. There are some great spots for “Bali-esque” cultural photos. Along with the Ubud market and other sights in the town center, such as Saraswati Temple,

The Ubud Palace
Known by its Indonesian name Puri Saren Agung, the Ubud Royal Palace was a significant structure during the 1800s when Ubud became the destination of choice for prominent Balinese artists to showcase their talents.
It will be smaller than Buckingham Palace, but no less spectacular. It feels more like a tiny palace, and you could easily take fifteen minutes to stroll through.
Take your time and focus on the details; there is still a lot of wonderful art and culture to enjoy here.
There are elaborate stone carvings of demon faces that resemble frogs on the walls and doorways. Additionally, you can find the best designs on a door at the rear of the courtyard, featuring gold-winged flowers and stone monkeys. Additionally, these intricate carvings add to the overall charm and historical significance of the palace.
Of course, the palace also has a temple, but visitors cannot enter it, so you’ll just have to settle for taking pictures of the entrance from the outside.
It’s best to visit Ubud Palace in the morning to avoid the crowds that gather by midday. The entire location is open for free.
Every night at 7:30 PM, you can catch a 1.5-hour traditional Balinese dance performance here, extending your cultural immersion. Admission is 100k Rupiah (~$7 USD).

How To Get There
The Ubud market is just a short stroll from Ubud Palace, located in the town center of Ubud.
From the heart of Ubud, it takes five minutes to walk, while from other parts of south Bali, such Sanur, Canggu, and Kuta, it takes one hour by car.
