DAY WISE ITINERARY
Arrival at Bilbao airport and English speaking assistance, followed by transfer to Loyola where we visit the basilica and the sanctuary.
The basilica was built in Baroque style, with a circular floor plan and a 65 meter high dome, designed by the Italian architect Carlo Maria Fontana. The sanctuary is built around the tower house of the Loyola family where San Ignacio was born in 1491.
Afterwards we continue to Arantzazu.
On the way we stop in Oñati where we visit the Universidad Sancti Spiritus. In Arantzazu we visit the sanctuary of Arantzazu. The sanctuary of Arantzazu is one of the most representative examples of contemporary Basque art.In the evening we arrive in Logroño. Check in, dinner and overnight in Logroño.

From Logroño we drive to Navarrete to visit the beautiful Asunción church.
The Renaissance church of Navarrete is of considerable size. Today it is considered the most spectacular of all the Rioja Baroque altarpieces, because of the richness and decorative excesses.
Later we return to Logroño, where we visit the most representative spots of the city. In the late afternoon you have leisure time to enjoy the atmosphere of Logroño.
Logroño is a city rich in history and traditions, which have been preserved since the middle ages. The pilgrim’s route to Santiago de Compostela made it one of the most important towns on the route. The river Ebro passes through the city crossing it with two bridges to connect Logroño with Navarre and Alava.
The oldest of them is the Puente de Piedra. Places worth to visit in Logroño are also the Palacio de la Marquesa de Legarda, Palacio de los Chapiteles, the Museum of La Rioja and Santa María de Palacio, the oldest church in the capital of La Rioja, which dominates the city’s skyline with its gothic spire. Inside, there are a magnificent cloister, a Flemish reredos and several Romanesque pieces to admire.

We start the day driving towards Calahorra, where we stop to visit the Santa Maria cathedralthe gothic cathedral dates back to the 15th century, but was constructed during 200 years. Therefore it consists of various styles and was influenced by different eras.
In the Muslim old town there is a Roman arch and the church of San Andrés from the 16th century. In Plaza del Raso, a former roman forum, stands the church of Santiago, the finest example of La Rioja’s neoclassic style.
Afterwards we continue to Tudela. Here we visit the cathedral and a church.
The cathedral was built between the 12th and 13th centuries and is crowned with a Romanesque tower at one side of the doorway and a Renaissance brick tower on the other side.The parish church of Santa María Magdalena was built in the mid-12th century on an earlier Mozarabic church and is a national monument.
We drive to the province of Aragon, to the city of Zaragoza. Check in at our hotel and then you have leisure time to enjoy and discover the city.
Zaragoza, the capital of the region of Aragon, is located on the banks of the Ebro river, halfway between Madrid and Barcelona. Dinner and overnight in Zaragoza.

You will find a stunning legacy of monuments in the streets of the city, vestiges of the Roman, Moorish, Jewish and Christian Roman ruins such as the circus; Aljafería Palace; Mudejar-style churches…Free time for lunch in the old town of Zaragoza. Afterwards we drive to Lleida to visit the Seu Vella cathedral.
The Seu Vella cathedral was built between the 13th and 15th centuries and dedicated to Santa María. It was built on the same site as the old mosque from around 1203 under the supervision of Pere de Coma. The layout is Romanesque, with three naves, a transept with an octagonal dome and five apses in the sanctuary.

On the way to Montserrat we first stop in Verdú for visiting a saffron shop and production. Later we visit the Santa Maria church in Igualada and continue to Montserrat.

Montserrat, an imposing rocky outcrop, is the holy mountain of Catalonia, which houses the revered image of the black virgin.We continue to the town of Manresa, where we visit the basilica and the sanctuary.The houses of Manresa are arranged around the Basilica of Santa María dela Seo. This structure combines Romanesque and Renaissance elements, although it is mainly a Gothic building.In the historic quarter we find remarkable buildings such as the city hall, the Palace of Justice, and Pont Vell. The sanctuary was the home to St. Ignacio de Loyola, when he stayed in the city. In the evening we arrive in Barcelona and check in at our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.

Today we start with a half day Barcelona panoramic sightseeing tour discover Barcelona with a general approach to its main tourist sights. A basic but complete itinerary will help you get to know the city by covering the most interesting places from the artistic and cultural point of view. Discover the Gothic cathedral, Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia and Sagrada Familia. In the afternoon you have leisure time to do some souvenir shopping and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the city.
