Thingvellir is characterised by a tectonic rift valley and marks the rifting of the Eurasian and North American plates from each other. In 930, the Icelandic Parliament, the first democracy in the world, was established at Thingvellir. Thingvellir became a World Heritage Site in 2004. Strokkur and the Geysir area will be visited. See the Oxararfoss waterfalls. Near Geysir is the beautiful Gullfoss Waterfall. Enjoy the view from above and walk down the path to get close to the powerful waterfall. Secret Lagoon (entrance and towel included) is a natural geothermal bath where you bathe in raw nature and relax at the end of the trip. Spend the night in Reykjavík.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, drive along the south coast of Iceland. Seljalandsfoss is 60 m high, and it is possible to walk behind it and get a unique view from behind. Visit the hidden gem cave waterfall in Gljufrabui. Skógafoss is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. Eyjafjallajökull is now famous for its 2010 volcanic eruption that disrupted air traffic in Europe. From Dyrholaey, there is a breathtaking view over the black sand beaches (if accessible). Reynisfjara Black Beach was, in 1991, ranked as one of the ten most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world. On the way, see Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier, flowing out of the ice cap Mýrdalsjökull. Spend the night near Kirkjubaejarklaustur.

Seltún is a beautifully coloured geothermal area. The geothermal activity brings to the surface bubbling mud pools, steaming ground and colorful solfataras. The beautiful colours are due to sulfur, and white and yellowish-brown sulphates are deposited. The Bridge Between Continents is a small footbridge over a major fissure that is formed by the tectonics and rifting of the two continental plates, the Eurasian and North American plates, from each other. After passing the Reykjanesviti lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland, drive towards the sea where high cliffs, black rock formations and breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean awaits.
